When I saw this clip of Sharpton speaking, although infuriating, it certainly was not surprising. He's been bought & paid for, a decades worth of time.

It brings context to why justice is almost guaranteed to not occur, when he brings his face around Black families: he's there to "fight for everyone", & not specifically his own.
