That was expertly done on part of the friend. I don't know if I could have played it off that well. You have to have friends who are always in some hijinks to be on your toes like this. I think I would have said "one moment, someone else is calling" and then called my friend to see what his dumb self was up to.
I always tell my homies nigga if you tell your lady you with me let me know ahead of time. Your girl will call and say "hey is Rollie over there he said he was with you last night?"

I can't tell you how many times I have seen something like this backfire though.
Like if you are with someone who you have to lie to about being out or doing your thing, maybe the relationship isn't a good option for you.

This is exactly where I stand on this one. If your relationship gets to a point where you're getting into lying and sneaking out with other folks - probably ladies that's not going to be good with your partner when he or she finds out, it's better to come clean out in the relationship and move on with whom you're more free and comfortable with.
It is just ridiculous at times cause they are lying while not even doing anything wrong. No cheating or anything. The other person is just so controlling or they just don't trust them. That is not a healthy relationship.
Loyalty and trust matters a lot in relationship because once they are both found wanting in your relationship, it's going to be very difficult for that relationship to survive. Everything that either party in the relationship does gets scrutinized because of lack of trust and you're going to keep lying and compromising things just to be what you're not.
Yup because it starts a downhill spiral. Once you allow them to control what you do and where you are then they will go beyond that and try to control more. If you’re a good person and faithful you should be able to be true and honest in your relationship. If you can’t, it’s a sign that something is wrong. Your woman shouldn’t even think to call the homie to test what he would say. It shows that the trust is lacking.
Someone I know was in a relationship like this. He would have to lie about hanging out with friends. I told him if he isn't doing anything wrong and she has problems, he needs to end it. Last I heard he was engaged to her. Some people never learn.
Exactly!! Without having trust in your relationship, I somewhat don't see the essence of being in such relationships because anything that you do would be under a microscope which isn't going to afford you a moment of peace in that relationship.
I just can't imagine living like that. Having to worry about where I am going, what I am doing, and my partner watching my every move. Those people have so much baggage and can't be in healthy relationships.
Women are waaaaaay better at it than we are. I remember telling my boy who was tryna smash a coworker. I said, a one time thing you 'might' get away with it, but if you gonna see her regularly, its a matter of when not if your girl will know and so can you deal with it. He tried to argue she won't find out and I said its a given. Have you ever known any of your homies who cheated regularly to ever get away with it? And Im not talking wifey knew but didn't say shit for whatever reason.
