The Haze Of Our Lives
You are right. These young people around me are clueless about politics. They all seem to live in the "Here and now" not looking past 5 to 10 years. I stopped asking where they see themselves in 5 years, the dismal answers I got either sadden me or pissed me smooth TF off.

It's not just the young ones. The older ones too. They look at CNN and MSNBC and that's all they have as far as information. They don't watch anything online and even if they do and it doesn't match mainstream talking points they dismiss them as not knowing what they are talking about.

That's why I like channels like TD Hip Hop Media, TYT, Rashad Richey because they use actual statistics and quite their sources. How content is presented makes a big difference.

These individuals don't just go off on a rant talking and being overly emotional or aggressive like TBA and Prof Black Truth(although he does quote sources sometimes). These guys come off so emotional that they will easily be dismissed as being crazy by older people.

All in all lots of black people don't know how to digest information.

Prof Black Truth is a excellent source but needs to tone it down a bit so more people accept him as a reliable source.

Jason Black just talks and puts out rhetoric but not really any information.

TD Hip Hop and Rashad are both calm, chill and just to the point with reporting. You can feel their passion on what they are reporting without them getting all loud and wild about it.

"Marianne sees that and knows that reparations is a losing issue because not only will she lose moderate and independent votes by making this a chief issue, she isn't going to get the support of black voters anyway."

I disagree that reparations is losing issue in the way that it will cost a politician elections. Illegal immigration, drag queens shows for children, and trans stuff are widely unpopular with much of the public and yet politicians that support such detrimental things still get voted into office. While reparations is unpopular, it's not detrimental and it is a long overdue debt that was promised to us. It will be in the best interest of this country for Black people to receive reparations, which is a form of justice.

While candidates don't have to spam the words "reparations" everywhere in their political ads and on their websites, they can make a serious commitment to serve us and our serious interests like they do with Native Americans / Tribal Nations, Asians, Latinos, and other groups all the time.
