I have had white doctors in the past, but have always moved on to another doctor. I think it's because they wouldn't always be able to figure out my issues. But whenever I would see a black doctor, he or she would figure out my issue like that. Either I was seeing bad doctors back them, or they just hate black people.

Anyway, what is your preferences when it comes to your doctor? Do you care if they are white or black? Male or female?

White, black or other, they all have a code they must follow, which I feel doesn't address my needs. If I ask for a allergen panel, I shouldn't need a excuse to bill my insurance outside if that's what the hell I requested. I respect the hustle and realize they get paid per test/procedure leading eventually to, but I do not have patience enough for the mularky to chase down what I know can address many different issues. They must refer back to their approved reference guide offing me birth control and telling me I'm obese! I don't have time for the politics and don't see the benefit of medical insurance. If I am paying $3000/yr and I am fairly healthy, I don't need to be approved for any random test that comes to my mind that is the negotiated price of $200/each. Not to include what's happening now and few Drs are speaking out. I am a medical student as well and familiar to scientific methods. It there is a real deadly aerosolized virus, then the only option is gas mask with oxygen tanks and constant sterilization. This fuckery right now is annoying!!

I've had both white and black doctors that have been great but I always seek out the female black doctors that are in my insurance network. After moving a few years ago, I finally found a good black doctor and she's the best. She really listens to anything I say and I don't feel like she's going to blow any of my questions off.

I believe you need to find a good doctor that you like and stick with him/her. My doctor is white, but I've never even considered how a black doctor might have a better understanding of what's going on with me.

I've used Black and white doctors that were excellent. The only doctors that consistently provided me with poor service were Indian.

I've had the same Palestinian doctor for years and my first doctor was Vietnamese, no problems here
