This is something I have always been upfront about in a relationship before ever getting physical. I would ask him when the last time he was tested was and how many partners he had since then. If I feel the need to ask him to get retested, I do and if he bounces then it is his loss. I see way too many women being easy and coming into the clinic being told they are riddled with STDs. A lot of people find it hard to ask questions like this early in a relationship and I never understood why. Protect yourself!
