I was thinking about this when I was playing metal gear solid one
there's a part where you have to go from one side of the island to the next side of the island just to get a sniper so that you can fight a boss with in my opinion kind of screw the whole game for me like the game is excellent but just that one part kind of like pissed me off
Mandatory stealth sections and games that don't require also Like in Mafia two.
I feel like they're more but those are the ones that annoy me about certain bad sections in otherwise good video games

Assassin’s Creed 3 pissed me off with their stupid chase missions. The distance you had to stay away was so random and stupid. What made them worse is while youre chasing you had to listen to a long drawn our conversation that doesn’t matter.

My second hated section in video games is the long drive to mission like you talked about. Open World games like Just Cause abuse this shit and have you going 10 mins across the map to blow up a building. It’s an easy way to make 30 seconds of gameplay into 30 minutes. It’s not fun though.

Breath of the Wild made it fun but screw that game and bullshit weapon mechanic.

I hate games that you have to stay a certain distance away from the target that you are sneaking on

climbing the towers in Ubisoft games is b.s.
It’s fun at first but since they are basically all the same it gets fatiguing. I like how on Breath of the Wild it added some serious challenge. You couldn’t climb freely upward and then you have stamina so you had to be strategic.

The newer Ubisoft games suck at stealth because they pander to everyone from kindergarten to geriatric. Far Cry 2 wasn’t bad stealth, in fact that was one of my favorites. But FC3 brought in all sorts of hand holding, such as tagging enemies so you could see them with x-ray vision. I also didn’t mind some of the earlier Splinter Cells, GRAW, R6V2 etc. Games always turn to trash when they start pandering to “a broader audience”.

As for most hated sections— I’d have to go with any of those on-rails QTE sequences, like for Spiderman where you have to press a bunch of buttons in sequence to get through, and if you fail they start the cutscenes over😤 damn those are annoying. Also, yeah those chase/stealth things can be annoying too— but I don’t mind them as much. Have any of you played Hitman Blood Money or Tenchu Z? Both require patience sometimes— but that’s prolly why I don’t mind the chase/stealth as much…

Depends on the QTE if it is like a finisher for God of War then I don't mind but if it is mandatory then I hate that crap

Legend of Legaia is my favorite rpg of all time but there’s one part of the game that’s annoying. You have to purchase loaves of bread to feed to seven treasure chests to open a door, and the chests are in a dungeon so you’ll be encountering monsters left and right on your quest to feed the chests.
RPGS with needless grind and the battle system is not good can be absolutely annoying

Having to collect a ton of stuff in the Batman Arkham games, Just Cause, GTA series and so on. I can't stand when a game implements a lot of QTEs in the game, especially when it mimics Simon says based on color.

The whole series of Assassin's Creed is pretty much the same there. They always have to put in an escort mission, or slowly follow this guys so you can hear their conversation. I hate those missions.

Just cause made it easier when they introduced the wingsuit, that made traveling the map fast and fun at least.
