When a group of students was recently assigned to write reports on Martin Luther King, Jr., several of them learned that King had in fact been a drunken philandering con man. Where in the www did these kids search? Google, for starters.
But freedom of speech! He and Joe Rogan, Hodge Twins, Ben Sharpio, Pewdiepie, Christopher Rufo, Bill Maher, and the like have a right to spew racist dogwhistles as well as promote anti-Black racism and dangerous rhetoric (

That and the whole "they were just doing their job" and "maybe you should've listened and could've have handle things differently" arguments. You may unfortunately have heard or even hear or some of your own kin and friends use these arguments, including the ones you mentioned. Even when you yourself were a victim of an incident. This is not just gaslighting, deflecting, and minimization, but also lowkey victim blaming.
These racists and white supremacists, white-identified Black liberals, and Internalized Anti-Black Racists (like Black Republicans and certain Black liberals like Eric Adams) choose to see and hear what they want to see and hear. Everything they don't like (including facts) is FAKE NEWS, MISINFORMATION, or DISINFORMATION. They love their ALTERNATIVE FACTS from "reliable sources" such as FOX News and MSNBC. How many times have you posted articles and sources showing the facts to these racists, sambos, and white supremacists only for them to gang up on you as they deflect and project blame and shame while downvoting you into the oblivion in unison?
Hence why we need to get back to building our own enclaves and supporting and protecting them. Anything Pro-Black is Anti-American. Pro-Black is hate speech in this country. They don't want kids hearing about MLK and how he pushed for reparations because MLK is one of the few Black leaders White Supremacy promotes. If they promote MLK as a symbol of freedom and hope and MLK talks about the handouts White people got and the boot stomp we did, they'll start understanding the Black American struggle.
