You state that there is no success without struggle and I agree but don’t you think it’s a bit short sighted to not tell our people all the adversity in their path? That yes, running a business is extremely difficult, challenging, tiring, changing BUT in addition to that you will have to contend with White people trying to sabotage you because you are Black.

  • That when you attempt to get a bank loan you will get denied or be given worse terms because you are Black.
  • You will have a hard time getting a private investor because you’re Black.
  • Many people will not patronize your business because you are Black

I’m not saying that to discourage but rather to put all the odds on the table. Because when we make things appear as “hey, all you do is lack motivation Mr. Black man” it gives White Supremacy a pass and says that our condition is due to lack of ambition. When it’s really that the ambition was there but after hundreds of years of sabotage you’re dealing with a ruined people.


If you’re Black in America you have to be exceptional just to get good and it’s a shame.
