I don't go to church too tough anymore but I grew up a Deacon's son in a baptist church and when it was on and popping up in there, it was magical.

There is something magical in us (black people). And the sad thing is white people see it in us more than we see in ourselves. Once enough of us recognize that magic, we'll see real changes within the community that will force changes outside the community.

That's real talk, my man. Our community has a rich history and culture that should be celebrated and cherished. It's important for us to recognize our own worth and value, so that we can demand the respect and equality that we deserve. And sports, whether it's basketball, football, or baseball, is just one way that we can showcase our talents and highlight our strengths as a community. But it starts with believing in ourselves and acknowledging our own magic.

I think at some point in time Black people globally lost sight of ownership and control. Not all of us but a large majority are comfortable being vassals of another power as long as we’re able to live relatively comfortably. It’s a sad things to see.

A person like Malcolm X should be the baseline not the aberration.
