I think that many of the largest companies are secretly colluding with each other which explains why things are so high. The reason I say this is that hyper inflation is an oppression tool for the poor and middle class. Rich and wealthy people can afford these price hikes whereas the lower levels of people cannot. This was a massive wealth transfer.
