I assumed it would take longer than a year. I am doing the daily reading as per the recommendations in the back, the whole "read the bible in one year" thing. As I read, if I feel I need assistance in understanding anything, I will research it. I feel like it will be good for me and my spiritual well-being as I do believe but never actually read the entire book. A personal choice I decided to make to help me be the best version of myself.I understand why some people don't read it all and why others choose to entirely avoid it. I didn't start here. I grew to know God and this transition for me took YEARS. I also understand only reading the New Testament as well. That is the text we are meant to live by anyway (according to the followers of Christ).I hope this doesn't cause any heated arguments or anything, that was not my intention but I understand that this kind of topic needs to be heavily monitored.
