I feel your point and it's a slippery slope.I think that going to a therapist and handling it there is better than trying to change the language as you have stated. But I do think we need to capture the state where they have the thought but don't act and we need to be able to direct them to help.If we just group them in with offenders and throw them away then they will progress to the stage of touching.See this is what I think we need to be able to discuss.The person that is masturbating while looking at the playground should not be grouped in the same category as the person touching kids because IMO they will be less likely to seek treatment.We need to look at it as sexual deviancy and treat it as such. But when they actually touch kids...I know what I would do if someone touched my son.It would be nothing nice. They'd find them in an alligator somewhere in Florida.
