People often overlook this when it comes to relationships but they know all about it for work. You dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Why do people not do this for relationships? Your first impression of a person is always their looks and their style. When it comes to ladies, if you are out there looking like an unkept hoe, you will not be viewed as wife material. When it comes to men, if you are dressing like you run the streets and not a business, you are going to push away solid women who are looking for long-term relationships and family.

I think people need to really think about how they present themselves in public, especially if they are single. You never know whose path you may cross and you could be missing out on someone perfect for you just because of the way you dress.

That part! Dress for the role you want. Especially with what is considered fashionable for women these days. You're walking around dressing like a City girl expecting a brother to take you seriously. Makes no sense! yas yes GIF by VH1

That's some valid points you made there mate, I Personally feel that the way you dress is how you are gonna be addressed. Not tryna sound bias but people who dress up nice and clean are often regarded as responsible than people who are all about the bling and swag. Well society doesn't segregate anymore as people are beginning to accept whichever way an individual chooses to dress or appear.

Girl I dress up to go throw the trash out. Dressing is branding and you showing people what you feel about yourself in the inside.

Growing up my mama used to tell me that and I thought she was crazy. Now as an adult I definitely understand where she was coming from. My husband still remembers what I was wearing the day we met. You are your own billboard.

Although they say that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover but in the case of a first date with the plans of starting a relationship, dressing matters a lot. This is because it allows your date to access the kind of person you might likely be. It doesn't mean that all that dressed the part can't still be a hoe but decency matters so much in the first date. The same thing can equally be said for men as well. You can't dress like a thug and expect a decent lady to take you seriously.

LMAO, you wouldn't go out naked either. I would prefer to look good with both style and simplicity. I don't show off, but I like to keep a good standard when it pertains to dressing.

Tell this to the people who roll out of bed and go to the store. I can't tell you how many people I have seen the last few weeks since it has been warmer just showing up in their PJs. A few times, I saw some ladies not even wearing bras! Maybe this is because of how I was raised but I won't even walk out of the house if my hair isn't in place. I like to be presentable when in public. I don't dress up or anything but I keep myself clean and keep myself presentable. You won't catch me wearing what should be considered lingerie in public. I see this "club fashion" at so many online stores. It looks like the crap women wear in music videos!

That is all part of the hood culture. The crap that was forced on our women and tricked many of them into believing this was normal and acceptable. You will not catch a good black man wanting anything to do with women like this.

For my first date with any lady, I at expect you to dress decent enough for that very day. If the date goes well and we eventually started the relationship, I'm the one that's going to push you to dress in a sexy provocative manner because it's actually what I like so much.

I absolutely believe this which is why I never leave out of the house undone. You get one shot to make a great impression. Looking the part is essential.

I don't usually go to dates but whenever I decide to honor one, I will always look my very best because for me, the first impression you make matters so much on how you would be received. So, I wouldn't feel good at when I make all the effort to look good, only for my date to look off. I won't waste my on such date.

I always tell people to make sure they look fresh when they are out. You don't have to look like you are about to walk some red carpet but keeping yourself polished lets people know you value yourself.

It is very important to dress the way you want to be addressed and also carry yourself in a similar posture. Above all, self-confidence is the best dressing anyone can add in addition to dressing well.
