Entertainment and self expression is something that, within the black community, has became a topic that stirs a lot of feelings and even causes strifes, rifts and debate. But how much do we as a community value our culture? Has our pride been used against us to alter our behaviors? Do we focus too much on our music and dances too much at the detriment of other things? Let's discuss it in today's episode of Equis Rants.

As Dr. Claud Anderson states we need to control every aspect of our culture from top to bottom. This allows us to control messaging and outcomes. Our current culture as a people reinforces inappropriate behavior that perpetuates a poverty mindset. Ownsership and control of what we are already good at is a good place to start. Like Ice Cube's Big 3. No need to reinvent the wheel we just need to own and operate and distribute as we see fit.

We need a revitalization of our culture since it's been given up and so corrupted. You make some great points. In order for it to be our culture, full ownership and steps to obtain it should be taken. It's just insane how nothing fed to us in this day and age is inspired, and they use our people against us to push destructive messaging. Very disheartening

No matter how much progress we think or perceive we are making as a people the dominant society will always have trap doors and schemes waiting for us. Can't make a deal with the devil. In the end you always get burned. That's why I advocate for reparations and separation. You can't repair a burning house. You can only escape with your life and start over elsewhere.

Right! Many are ready for the money, but few bring up the complete separation from this white supremacist system and the rebuilding that'll have to be done. That's one reason reflection on the behalf of the black community is so crucial now so we could fully grasps where we went wrong

We have to resegregate our communities. In Powernomics Dr Claud Anderson states that other folks can come spend money with us but just like in China town or Korea town it is understood that a customer is just a guess.

And you are right.
A lot of our people have to get serious about the work that is building a self sufficient community in the face of white supremacy.

In the show Watchmen on HBO Blacks received reparations. The show depicted how whites still showed extreme vitriol towards blacks because they received reparations . This just goes to show that the money is just the first step. To truly be independent we have to separate even after we receive our just due.
