I mean they are old. I am not going to hate on them for wanting to put out music. I prefer this kind of rap over the mumble, pop, club garbage from the last 10 years if I am being completely honest with you. The thing is... They are old now and I feel like a lot of people can't take them seriously... Case in point, the thread title LOL!

I don't believe there's an age limit to doing what you love. If they like making music...cool. if people stream it and listen (which I am sure they will) good for them. And I might listen, I wouldn't not listen because they older though.

Have to ever seen an older woman wear a miniskirt or something that she's just a little bit too old to be wearing? It's so embarrassing that I'm embarrassed for them. I got that same feeling watching this.

It makes me think about rappers before this era. Like idk run dmc. They still making music? Maybe because of the internet era we in there is more eyes on it too.

I would politely disagree, sis. Run DMC and most of the MCs from that era were not trying to be drug dealers and gang members. The message all about the microphone. Yes, there were stories about robberies and murder but the listeners were focused on the microphone.
MC Lyte's Cappuccino, for example talked about murder but she wasn't trying to be Rick Ross moving weight.

I wasn't really thinking about the content...just about the age and continuing to put music out. But yeah I think it's easier to put out music when your older if you music wasn't on some Gansta type lyrics to begin with.

Okay like Ice cube...he has evolved (I think) to where he could not rap the way he did when he was with NWA lol

Yeah it is a bit... Weird. Like the only time I see an older dude acting/being hard is when it comes to Italian mobs and even then, they are actual criminals. Not some old rappers who settled down and have kids, money, and protection. They have nothing to worry about at this point. lol
