I did the DNA test like an idiot when I was younger and it helped me fill out a lot of the tree on Ancestry.com. I was able to trace my family back a few generations on my Mom's side. My dad's side went back to Alabama and my Mom's side went back to Louisiana. I don't know much more than that outside of stories passed down. On my mom's side there was some Santeria practiced so it made a lot of sense why.
