The Wine of the Day is a Red Blend called Persistence, from the Reynolds Family winery in Napa Valley, California.
It's a 2013 and tastes closer to a Cabernet, then a Pinot Noir. For me, it's green grapes, mixed with raspberry and a hint of chocolate. Definitely aged in oak barrels. The tenets are mild, more like a strong Cabernet. 14.5% alcohol content, so it packs a punch. It's a really good drink to consume while reading. Smooth, complex and grows on with every sip.....like a great novel.
As a disclaimer, I'm a member of the Reynolds Family Wine Club and have been for 10 years. Recommend trying a bottle or visiting their winery.
