We already know this. TBA, Tariq and others mentioned it but I don't see it brought up as much when Larry Elder and Candace Owens are debated. Also, I think its an important part of the reparations for FBA argument, post slavery.

If I had the time and money but I don't, but I wish someone would make a video or documentary about it. There have been some attempts but I don't think extensive enough.

U.S. freeways flattened Black neighborhoods nationwide

Syracuse wasn't the only city where Black residents were displaced by the U.S. freeway-building boom of the 1950s and 1960s.

Detroit's "Black Bottom" was taken out by the John C. Lodge highway.

The history of f*cking over Black people in every conceivable way makes me livid. Both in America and outside but all I know is America so it makes it even personal and it pisses me the f*ck off. All of it does, anywhere, but I've seen the remnants of it first hand. Lived in an area with a highway through it and now I understand why.

Personal experiences and historical and systemic shyt done is what brought us all on here.

These stories need to be told and not forgotten and used as evidence when demanding 'our' due, to various groups based on their specific injustice.

A lot of this crap happened cause not enough of our people were active with politics or voting so this stuff passed and they were left wondering what the hell was happening. This is why I always tell people to forget the president and the state leader, focus on who is running your neighborhood and make sure you keep them on lock cause they are the ones that are destroying the area. If you are only focused on who is at the top, the dude down the road running your town will be the one stabbing you in the back.

Yeah, the same thing happened In Durham to the historic Hayti community which mimicked Tulsa, but in a different time period. Not talked about as much because it was a slower process & didn’t produce an immediate trauma amongst the residents. NCCU was the jewel of that black community.

Black folks had a thriving business district in Chicago. And the highway act got rid of it.

Here we have yet another example of descendants of FBA, whose ancestors moved to Canada in the wake of the Revolutionary War, being subjected to disastrous & destructive policies of WS in Canada🔹
