It’s horrifying to see how they depicted us in the marketing. I spoke to the curator, yes this museum has a curator and I’ll will be setting up an interview with him soon.

I think it also depends how the parent introduces it to the child. My son is 7 and he loves Traditional, Contemporary, and Smooth Jazz. It wouldn’t be his first choice to listen to though.Fantastic. I never appreciated Jazz until I went to the deep south.
Seems like Blacks don't really appreciate jazz until we are older.
I can't think of too many teens or early 20s brothers or sisters growing up that were into jazz other than people who were musicians. My homie played the trumpet since elementary school and liked it but that's about it.
It's an original black form of music I hope we not just preserve but teach its history to all young people so they can carry on its preservation and appreciation.

The museum had all types of that artwork and had originals from the Coon Chicken Inn. It was disgusting. But we don't need to destroy the pictures. We need every Black person to see it so that they understand where we came from and take a vow to never allow it to happen again.Hey J I remember when they used to call us black sambos I hated that.
