Red Velvet,My love and appreciation for Black Women that are on code, impacted my decision to make the main character a Black Woman....along with writing an interesting novel. As for Feminism or Women bashing......Its a waste of energy. At the end of the day Nuria Sellers is B1, not a Feminist. That's what REALLY matters. Not Feminism. Not LGBTQism. Not Democrat or Republican....Black First.Also, this novel also has Nuria's troubled marriage as a major plot theme. Alot of young folks are looking for "Dating Advice", which is fine, but we also need to discuss how to make a marriage/relationship work after the fancy and expensive is over.
