A lot of us did vote against her, we were outnumbered. There's an extremely old voting mindset here that refuses to educate themselves until it's too late. Just look at the lack of push back John Lewis received. Sure he helped a few people here or there, but overall he did nothing for the community that continuously put him up. There is another Black lady down here (I can't remember her name) that did a LOT for the community. Guess what they did? Voted her out. Now the NPUs are suffering... people don't even show up for those. And the ones that do? Outnumbered by ignorance.

 

A lot of Black people do not show up to vote or participate at a community level. And the people they do end up supporting, essentially stab them in the back with no consequences.


If anything, people need to get involved at Community levels first. The people running for office show up at community meetings, in addition to police reps, emergency service reps, school reps, etc. A LOT happens there, but the people are nowhere to be found.
