I heard about this. He is an asset to the team and this is likely going to hurt them. Some people are saying he might miss most of the season, others are hoping he will be back in 4 to 6 weeks. Either way, this has to come as a sting to the Vikings. They did sign on Chris Herndon as a fill-in for him. At least they went in with a plan.

Irv Smith getting knee surgery
Yeah I read about that earlier! It always sucks when that happens right at the beginning of the season. He's young so hopefully he'll bounce back quickly but meniscus surgeries can be a pain to deal with.
