I totally agree there should be consequences.To be clear, this is not to demonize women on a whole, but anyone who uses the legal or judicial system in a fraudulent way should be punished. Such as when Charles Stuart murdered his wife and told police a Black man did it.Simply being exonerated legally does not reverse the loss of freedom, reputation, and income.Consequences serve as a deterrent. So if people realize there are harsh consequences for false allegations, they might think twice.Until then, this type of thing will go unchecked.
