I don't know about overrated, but it comes off at this point like a Fad. Don't get me wrong cause I use to have a playstation VR at one point and I loved the hell out of it (especially if you watch a POV of rollercoasters on youtube...😁). But after a while depending on the game I play i started to get motion sick and I don't normally get that type of sickness; and also considering that most companies haven't really know the true value of VR, there's hardly enough games to go around for it. Also with the cost of some of them and the level of wiring you have to connect it becomes a pain in the ass for some.While VR came a long way and its more accessible (and affordable) for most and while they are working on making a stabilization to combat the motion sickness for a lot of VR systems/games; It's not gaining that much attraction as it was originally set out to be.
