Just found out my wife and I are having a boy and a girl. A great blessing. I was wondering if anyone in the fam has had twins and any tips and tricks on raising them. Wanted to bring this great news to the 6zeros family. B1

Congrats and bless your heart. It's about to get real in the field for you. I couldn't imagine have two newborns at once. Only tip I have for you is to make sure you two prioritize your relationship. You have embarked on this grand endeavor but take her out on a nice date...take her to a spa, get her a mani pedi, talk to her, ask her how was her day, make her a nice dinner. These are all deposits into your emotional and relationship bank account. This nuturing of the relationship will ensure you have the emotional savings to withdrawal from when the babies arrive and exhaustion is at an all time high.

Congratulations, and welcome to the dad club!
The best advice I can give you is to keep your wife as happy & stress-free as possible during your (both of you are pregnant, whether you know it or not). If she's happy, the babies are happy.
Get as much sleep as you can now, because you won't get any rest (or anything else 😪) for a while once the babies come.
Treat your babies like they're already here; talk to them, read to them, etc. while they're in the womb. As they grow, they'll start to recognize your voice.
Start setting aside any extra money you have. Trust me, your kids will find a way to spend it!
Start buying baby clothes & supplies now. Don't buy too many preemie/newborn diapers, your kids will outgrow those super fast.
Facts. My son recognized my voice on day one because I used to read and talk to him when he was in his mom’s belly. After he was born, opened his eyes and seemingly came to realize that white supremacy still hadn’t gone away he cried… I rubbed his head and when I said “it’s gonna be alright” he immediately relaxed.

Congratulations. Rest and enjoy each other as much as you can now. Your lives will be different with less time to devote to your own needs. Work on strengthening your relationships, defining expectations and needs clearly, enlisting help for future childcare needs, and determine how you want to teach your children. These are precious moments, enjoy them with each other. Don't focus so much on the future your forget about the now.

Aww congrats! Twins are so rare but such a blessing. They will be bonded for life. It is so cool being able to gift that to your future children, always having someone to be there for them who is bonded on some whole other level. I wish you and your growing family the best!

My only advice, don't dress them alike when they get school age, I hated it!
I'm not a twin but it's hereditary. My Mom, myself & my eldest daughter had to sets of twins, all boys. Your twins will have them also. At least that's how it used to be.

If you don't know how to change daipers, now would be the best time to start it. Even cooking, you should learn how to do so because your wife would be drained by the twins sucking breast. She would always be hungry.

Make sure they appreciate art and literature and reading and scientific study. One good way to help this is to introduce them to music, language, story(I recommend audiobooks)—
Teach them to read between the lines.
Keep them away from the internet (or at least strictly regulate) until teens at least.
Much respect for the advice. We got a few of those bases covered. My wife is a teacher and we are both big on reading and science and I feel you on the internet point. We were thinking the same thing. Have to keep them grounded in reality before they get into virtual stuff. The audio books is a good one too. The balance od hard books and audio books is good.
