I have heard of these but never looked deeply into them. I just put them in the same category as sirens, mermaids, etc. all of which I believed to belong to the succubus/incubus demons. Look up what a succubus does to men and you will see the connections.

Same as yemanjá, that's not an angel. More like a demon.

The fallen angels who were cast from Heaven in the bible slept with human women. I can't remember where that is in the bible, but it speaks on it. Wild stuff.

The OG succubus is believed to be Lillith. That is a whole other can of worms you can look into if you want to read about it. She targeted babies which is where singing a "lullaby" came from. It was to ward her off.

Genesis 6

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
