I don't know if anyone saw this but they are at it again with buying up all they can. Spend damn near 69 billion on this one as well. Not sure what their plans are. As far as I know, this company was on a downward spiral and losing money the last 5. The way I look at it anymore, most things they buy they damage. I remember loving using Skype 10+ years ago and then they bought it and ruined it. They damn near ruined Minecraft for me as well (yes, I enjoy that game as an adult female, so what lol).

What do you think their plans are here other than making money?

It's pretty obvious what the plans are. They can't make their own exclusives in comparison to Sony, so they're going to buy their way to exclusives by acquiring popular dev companies.

Let's see if they destroy the properties like they did with:
    • Fable
    • Project Gotham Racer
    • Perfect Dark
    • Halo (On Ventilator, is in recovery)
    • MechAssault
    • Shadowrun
    • Gears of War
They have ran the following devs into the dirt or ruined their relationship with:
    • Rare
    • Bungie
    • FASA
    • Bizarre
    • Lionhead
    • Axes
    • Access

I don't know if this is a big win or not because the biggest franchise they are getting is CoD and they are already known as FPS MP while Sony is known for great single plays experiences. It seems like doubling down on what you already got.

Yeah time will tell. I think how the Bethesda launches go will help give an idea for sure, but I'm trying to withhold judgement. I'm personally not optimistic. It reminds me of when WWF bought WCW and then the product turned to crap ever since.

I fell in love with Activision when they made an AVP game.

I remember that the game costed me $57 and some change and I was so damn happy.

Alien vs Predator (1993 video game)

Alien vs Predator, known as Aliens vs Predator in Japan, is a 1993 side-scrolling beat'em up video game developed by Jorudan Co. and published by Activision for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was the first Alien vs. Predator game ever made, but it's not based on the comic books of...

I think that's is typical of the buyout class, because they want to eliminate so much cost through the investment that they end up ruining the product service for the customer. I just saw a presentation with Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates, where he stated that stock buy backs are good for a short-term investment but in the long run they can ruin the market and also force changes in policy.

So do you think they tank these properties on purpose or am I misunderstanding?

Either way, we can all agree Microsoft buying things always end up making them worse. I am just sick of a few names owning and running everything. It don't seem right.

He spoke on these buy outs in the same vein as stock buy backs and confirmed yes it does make things worse marketwise. When I was in taking accounting in undergrad, this term called Cannibalized Capitalism was being thrown around, in terms of bigger companies eating competition. Very similar to how white supremacy (and allies) will eat itself out of existence and look to us to either play stupid with them or extend their lifeline.

☆Yes, they are tanking these companies on purpose, that is the habit of invasive cultures.

Ah, got you. Now I get what you are saying. This is facts. I have said it for years that unchecked capitalism becomes a monster. It not only enslaves the consumers but becomes a larger problem that eventually interferes with politics. Not to get too off-topic or sound conspiratorial but I am firm of the belief that this monster has been behind the push for all these vax jabs. It isn't about health, it is about money. Unchecked capitalism is everywhere and it is a problem. It hurts everyone but always hurts blacks and black communities the most.

That about sums it up! I been watching world news and watching what Canada, Africa, Sweden, Japan, Australia, and the UK have been doing. Isn't it a bit odd that Australia and Canada both admitted to using propaganda manipulation through COVID? Also in Japan, they have had some of the lowest numbers of cases and the least strict measures in place to control things. They just shut their border and took care of their own. In Sweden, they left people to decide for themselves and have no major deaths or issues compared to other countries. And now in the UK, since their government got busted lying they have lifted all mask, travel, and vaxx mandates. Funny that. This was a clear power and wealth grab.

With the scandal that was going on in the company, I know that it's something that's capable of ruining the company and their only way out would be to sell the company. Microsoft was there and readily available to buy into the deal which saw it as a the biggest take over or acquisition that we have seen so far in the video game industry. This only makes Microsoft a big force to reckon with in the industry now.

Microsoft is currently the biggest gaming company right in my opinion after they purchased Activision Blizzard. Their market cap even after the acquisition of Activision is still good enough to buy up Sony if they wanted to and if Sony was ready to sell but they won't afford Microsoft full monopoly in the gaming industry.

With the cases Activision Blizzard was facing and how their stock was falling, I knew that they were most likely going to sell the company. Fortunately, Microsoft was there to scoop up the deal. Let's hope that they do justice with some of Activision great franchise like Call of Duty games.

Oh damn I forgot about this.

They are going to ruin Call of Duty, aren't they!? LOL I was just considering buying the next game too. Maybe it will be the last chance I have of enjoying one of their games.
