Black political contrarian voices who keep saying “look at asians and Indians who don’t vote!” as a plan for how to achieve black political goals. Except, this isn’t true. These groups not only engage in politics, they are increasing their influence and participation in politics and they’re not nihilistic about it either. They are quite sophisticated as well.No other group actually withdraws. They double down. They celebrate minor victories. They file lawsuits. They fund lobbyists to support their issues. They pursue and persuade and campaign and contact politicians. They promote and select politicians they want. THEY GET INVOLVED!They DO NOT withdraw from the system, they do not withhold voting, they do not sit on their hands and act passively.
