Puff is trying to buy Cresco Labs & Columbia Care two major MSO'S or multi-state operators by putting up $ 145 million. If the deal goes through,Mr. Combs would be the biggest Black player in the cannabis industry. Cresco Labs is developing a large facility in the Hudson Valley, New York area. Puff would have control of grow facilities in Illinois, New York & Massachusetts if the deal is finalized. Congrats to Love,Diddy,P. Diddy,Sean Combs, whatever.

Diddy Makes a Big Move Into Cannabis Game With $185 Million Purchase of Major Pot Players

Puffy is now boss of the first and largest minority-owned weed company in the world.

Probably another one of his moves to make a dirty game look more equitable. One of those “Jay-Z chess moves” that benefits no one but him and the people he’s covering for.

I am happy to see a black person make money moves. First and foremost. So, pardon me if what I'm about to write sounds like I'm sh*tting on the deal.

The article doesn't get into specifics. It doesn't say if Diddy is buying all himself or he's part of an investment group. Even for a billionaire, that's a huge amount to drop on one deal. That is a big percentage of his net worth and like most billionaires, your net worth is tied up in assets not cash.

That being said, I'd like to know how this deal is structured. Even if he's the front guy for a group, its still a money move we should celebrate. I say that because they way articles said at the time, we were falsely led to believe Jay Z was buying the nets. Did he even own 1 percent?

Either way, the weed business is tailor made for Blacks and we are the very last people the dominant society wants in the business.

That's pretty much what he said. He said when he heard the industry had only 2% ownership he said he had to change that.

Right. This is a huge problem in the cannabis industry & this happens all the time. Any rapper or entertainer you can name claims to have a weed line but in reality they're just in a partnership with other investors who are non-Black. I use to talk about this years ago. Illinois is really bad. These white investment groups find Black men with marijuana charges & get them to apply for pot licenses. The Weed game is crazy.

That is the huge scam. They’ll let all the Armenians and other folks snatch up all the licenses and then once they are entrenched find a Black figurehead to make it look neat. If they really cared they would have been helping us get in position the second prohibition ended.

When can't have a hold of any industry because we'll start creating a real middle class & upper class. They need us to be on the bottom because we'll challenge them and they don't want that. Small craft cannabis businesses is the only way. Plus,we have generations of crop growing in our DNA.

Nothing but facts. If we have our economic base things like the Kyrie Irving incident cannot happen.

You would have thoughts some older NBA players would have stepped up & said something on Kyrie's behalf, but they didn't. Big buck Barkley & Officer O'Neal jumped on the sides of their business partners. This overpaid employee mentality by Black men in sports is a barrier within its self. If I was Kyrie I would finish my contract & play for Big 3. That would shake up the sports world.

Yup he has enough money to make that transition. Hopefully his liabilities are in check.

All the states with legal weed (Colorado, Cali, other states) legalize with regulations designed to make it rich white owned as best they can.

Black Baltimore has largely been left out of Maryland’s marijuana industry. Here’s how some are pushing to fix that.

Medical cannabis has grown into a $600-million-a-year industry in Maryland since the first pre-rolled joint was sold legally in 2017, but Black Baltimoreans are largely left out.

The Unintended Consequence of Trying to Give Black Marijuana Entrepreneurs a Head Start

The city’s effort to create a cannabis industry that mirrors — and benefits — its majority Black population has led to lawsuits and a collapsing marketplace. Meanwhile, the rest of the state thrives.

Scott is far from alone among Detroit’s medical marijuana entrepreneurs in concluding that it’s impossible to run a viable business when the competition — whether the four recreational marijuana shops in Hamtramck, or the dozens of dispensaries in the surrounding suburbs, or the numerous weed delivery services targeting Motor City residents — doesn’t have the same constraints on who they can sell to.

Black-Owned Pot Businesses Remain Rare Despite Diversity Efforts

...another thing, these states have black legislatures. These mofos seem like they NEVER fight for black inclusion. If they don't have the numbers to get us included at least make a big stink out of it.

Our political class is compromised. They either let sh*t happen and are bought off or don't fight the wrong if they can't get the votes with putting stuff on the jumbotron.

This is what modern weed dealing is becoming. He probably just thinks getting in early is a smart move. I bet you a lot of his friends and family smoke. He will be hooking them up.
