They always do this. Xbox does it too. They like to give you "free weekends" just to rope you into paying them money. I see through it. Trying to get couples hooked on playing games together. Jokes on them, I bet it causes more fights than anything. Imagine your dude wanting to spend the weekend playing games after promising you some loving over the weekend LOL
well i hate the concept of paying for Online Multiplayer in the first (thanks Microsoft for the Xbox live which inspired PlayStation and Nintendo to do the same) like i can understand doing this during E3 when gaming are getting the news and stuff but now when people are trying to do everything but game is stupid

Online gaming free plus the superbowl can really start some real fights…thats a lot of time to neglect your woman. At the barbershop everyone kept saying, whatever you do for the super bowl, make sure it isnt grander than what you do for valentines.
But this is perfect for the demographic that needs to distract from the loneliness and too broke to afford PS+. Match made in heaven.
I still don't get this concept. We have to pay for the internet already. We have to pay for the games (in most cases, I know some are free) How the hell are they going to charge us then to play games online? At the very least, free-to-play games should be free online, no matter what console you are on. Something has to give. It has felt like a scam to me for 10+ years. Probably why I switched to mostly playing PC games.
Yup. They need money to keep the system behind online gaming running. I do feel like they are probably overcharging everyone at this point but I understand needing the funds. Back in the day you needed to be wired and have the hassle of being kicked offline every other 10 minutes.
I remember this deal, it had a lot of people excited. Unfortunately, I already had PlayStation Plus and there were no bonus incentives for me or others who already purchased PlayStation Plus. However, I'm sure this caused people to want to purchase PlayStation Plus after this event. I'm curious as to how many PlayStation Plus memberships they sold once this event ended?
