I cannot for the life of me figure out why so many people are getting into these poly relationships. Then again after remembering that I studied eastern religions, I understand why they practiced polygamy and it had to do with extending the bloodrite or bloodline. Now that the western community has gotten ahold of the subject matter, it has nothing to do with religion and I've only heard of a small portion giving birth. So that just lives pleasure sex as an option, please tell me I'm wrong. Everytime I see the phrase ENM or Poly, I remember TBA saying 'Get in where you fit in' 😆 🤣 😂. It looks like the people who got picked over are creating a colony or village of their own.

How would you feel if your wife was bisexual and she wanted to involve another woman into the relationship? You'd both be able to have sex with her whenever you'd want and she'd be an extra fully equal partner in the relationship. Let's also say that you:

You had a house big enough to support her.
Your income was sufficient enough to support her.
Your wife would be perfectly fine with the arrangement, even thrilled by it.

Would you go for it?

It is stupid to me but what works for some, won't work for others. This is just modern Mormon non-sense in my eyes. Having multiple people in a relationship to raise and care for the seed (children, crops, etc) minus all that. So just people wanting to be slutty but in a safe environment. I mean like Jay said, if they aren't harming children or animals, everything is consensual then I don't care but there should be a close eye on these groups if/when children become part of the picture.

I believe in this fully because i think monogamy is unnatural. I understand its more safe but there arr very few animals who only have one partner. I dont knock anyone for having one that they really love either. But even then i think it often leads to cheating because you get mad and then go to the bar get drunk and one thing leads to the other and your on insert talk show here. I dont support cheating though if u agree to a faithful relationship that should be honored. The future i think will be more open and poly and mono will be more scarce.

Intresting thought i dont see myself having children especially not in the west. If i can get the hell of here and go somehwere that i think i can raise them where they wont be second class citicens that might change my view. I dont think i could ever be mono though and i dont see how it is harmful to children to be raised in a poly household as long as the love and support is there. I belive ancient egypt was also.poly and they seem to turned out pretty good 😂

I feel like for most people, having a foundation of two people is ideal but it is not for everyone. I know some men and women who can't handle being locked down to one person but are the happiest flowing in and out of relationships. So long as they aren't hurting anyone and are being safe about it, they are free to do them. So I get that viewpoint as well.

There’s a reason why it takes two people to produce off-spring and not three. It’s not for me to say that it’s impossible but it’s not the standard and it’s confusing to children.

This is my $0.02 as well. I don't think monogamy is everyone's forte but if it isn't, be honest about it. Don't get in monogamous relationships and have your confusion and desire to sleep with multiple partners allow you to hurt others. If you like polygamy do not bring non-consenting people into the equation, it will lead to heartbreak.

Hmm maybe its because ive lived in a commune before i dont see it as a issue. Its kind of like having a team or a family reunion everyday lol. I do think there still needs to be a head of the family but i think i respond more to a democratic process then authoritive rules.

But the exception is not always the rule. A lot of people can't even raise kids in a healthy fashion in a two parent household. Now we are going to add another parent and add even more potential dysfunction and chaos? I don't think there is one size fits all but I think nature makes it clear how many parents a child needs simply in how many parents it requires to make one. I do believe it takes a village to raise a child but the whole village doesn't need to live in the same house and fuck one another.

There was this really wack a$$ dude on YouTube a good 10 years ago I think it was. I remember my friend showing his videos to me. He was one of those types to want to have multiple partners but the women he would get with, he would straight brainwash. I agree completely about being honest but you have to watch out for the snakes who will try to manipulate you into this kind of relationship and make you think it is for you. Women are strong and beautiful creatures but we are also forgiving and too agreeable at times. I have known some to fall for fools only to be hurt when they realize they were nothing but a side piece.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with polygamy, as long as it’s practiced as God intended. It’s supposed to be done to protect widows and orphans, not to let your “freak flag” fly. Personally I’d rather share than swirl.

If the women aren’t in agreement then it shouldn’t be done. A family moves as a unit. It should be obvious if that’s not the case.

Typically children are reared by their mother and father. Her children live at her house. Another wife may step in if the mom is sick or overwhelmed, per her request, but that’s about it.
