Many things in the bible are not meant to be interpreted as plain language. A lot of it is written like poetry.I always felt the way the universe expands is through people going to heaven. I know it might sound silly but what if when a human leaves his or her body and goes to heaven, that life energy creates a new star? And "being with God" is just being in the outer heavens which is "space".A friend of mine makes a pretty convincing argument that "hell" is in the bottom of the ocean as well because it is beyond boiling water in the depths. I don't know how to explain that as well as she does though but there are actual worm creatures the bible talks about in reference to hell in the bottom of the ocean.I never claim to know it all, I don't and none of us can but I think expanding on various ideas allows us to grow and expand as people.
