I feel that. However, sex trafficking is already a crime. The resources that are being spent on currently locking up johns and sex workers can be diverted into actually investigating and prosecuting sex traffickers. Also, with decriminalization comes competition.Just like with drug dealing, it's dangerous (and super profitable) due to it's illegality. By opening sex work up AND cracking down hard on sex trafficking, it reduces the profitability for traffickers while simultaneously opening a new area of money making for otherwise law abiding citizens.IMHO, we should always advocate for freedom for crimes that are just crimes by law (mala prohibita) while punishing hard, crimes that are wrong because they are nearly universally wrong (mala in se crimes like murder, rape, kidnapping, etc.)
