I recently came across a documentary describing the horrors of the european Leopold II in Africa during the great theft called the “Scramble”. The oppressors used a bullwhip called the “Chicotte”.

My thought remarked upon the similarity to the name “Chakotay” a fictional latino (“Native American”) character from Star Trek Voyager.

Seemingly Chakotay is placed specifically to counter, replace and negate Commander Tuvok, who was originally Janeway’s right-hand man…
