Where was security?!  That's THE reasonable response.  Throwing boiling water on someone is and should NOT be the go to option to de-escalate a verbal altercation!  That was an intentional and disproportionate response and is the rationale used in a court of law.   Solution: STOP frequenting THEIR eateries!  When there is NO customer base to support that economy they'll act right and show us respect.
