Don't get me wrong they owe us money and they should cut the check.

If they don't though and just make all Black Americans that are descendants of slaves tax exempt I'll take it. I'd pocket so much money from just that alone that I could use it to do lots of things. Start a business. Invest in real estate. Pay college tuition. No matter what I decide to do with it I'm going to end up better off.

To me that is the overall goal.

That said the reason to cut the check is because not everyone is in my situation. If you are unemployed then you won't benefit. If you are in a low paying job then you won't benefit.

If you are in a average job and have multiple children you won't benefit near as much.

In order to truly benefit you need to be in a high paying job where a lot is being taken out on tax and live in an area that has a high or moderately high property tax rate. If that's not the case you don't really benefit much.

This is why they need to cut the check. Giving cash payments benefits everyone. If you are already doing okay that money will help you do even better. If you are at the bottom and not doing well that money is your jump off if you use it right.

Once the majority of black people are doing good whether that be because they started a business, went to college and got into a career, invested in real estate or something else to get themselves into a better position  in life we're all going to be better off. The majority of black people will be middle class or higher.

A lot of our problems are going to go away. Police are going to be less likely to abuse people who now have the means to file a lawsuit. We're going to be profiled less because there is no need to be involved in crime once we have the means to do well.

Is reparations going to be a solve all. Of course not. However it takes away a lot of the issues we deal with.
