There's a big sign on the Statue Of Liberty that reads

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

That poem is older than you, me, and everybody else in this thread, and so is American immigration. We've always had migrants come to this country, and we always will. If some joker from El Salvador wants to come here & mow lawns or pick oranges, then good for him.

I'm more worried about police having full immunity for murdering us. I'm worried about pharmaceutical companies being allowed to overcharge for insulin & other life-saving medicines. I'm concerned about Project 2025 & another January 6th. I want clean air & water. I want Black history to be taught in schools. I want medicaid for poor people & medicare for our seniors. I don't want to pay more in taxes than the mega-wealthy. I want affordable college for my kids. I want national healthcare. I want an impartial Supreme Court.

The "migrant crisis" is just a Boogey Man. Like I said, we've always had immigrants & we always will.

I'm voting because I care more about the "living as a Black American crisis"
