Huey also had after school programs. We'd go there to do our homework & learn about our history & culture. Not what's taught in public schools. Our parents picked us up there or the closest Elder near our home. We never walked to or from school alone either.

I hear you but isn't that how we fell into traps in the past?

We have people come into our movements with sketchy pasts but we let them stay around because of "their work" and then end up finding out they were working with the FBI. Every single one of our movements has been infiltrated by people because we either don't check their paperwork or we check it and give them a pass.

I believe we have to be more discerning about who we do and do not follow even if the optics of their movement are nice. If he is willing to lie about his DJ career, his military service, winning grammies, and demonstrate a lack of understanding of firearms, don't you think he'll lie about other things too?

What if he had some charges pending but took a deal if he would be an agent? All this stuff is feasible and I hope that we as a community start leaning more on the intellectual rather than the emotional. The intellectual says stay the hell away but the emotional response to seeing a Black militia is awesome.
