I notice a trend on YouTube. It seems like if you are listening to the major media channels like MSNBC or CNN the video plays through without interruption. It can be a 20-minute video and almost no commercial interruption.

If you listen to anything that is black empowerment there is a lot of ad interruptions. It can be a 10-minute video and you will get 3 or 4 ads!

I think YouTube does this on purpose and I think it is unfair. Let's be honest they are paying CNN and MSNBC etc. more money for advertising but they are putting the ads on the black channels all while paying them less.

It's not a conspiracy; you see ads because the Black channels are monetized. The ads are a part of the way how they make their money from Youtube. All monetized Youtube channels have ads on them.
If you don't wan't to see ads, either join youtbe premium like Troy said, or download a youtube app that has a built in ad blocker. Easy fix

If the video is monetized, that is down to the channel owner placing ads. A lot of people will put several ads throughout their video cause they keep cutting the percentage earned per views. The major news networks seldom have any because they don't need to earn on YouTube and YouTube props them up anyways.

It's all about monetization of the videos on YouTube. If they are not monetized, there wouldn't be any ads on them. I have seen a few black empowerment videos that are not full of ads but just 1 or 2. It's all about how they have everything set up to make money from them.

I didn't know that the channel owner had the ability to determine how many ad breaks there are.

If you want to monetise your YouTube channel then you are in for an ad studded video, as I don't think YouTube pays CNN for putting up their videos on the platform, and if you do crypto related contents and have it monetized you earn more from YouTube but at a price because you get more ads obstructing the video every 2 minutes.

If I can avoid making use of YouTube completely, I would take that option because you're very correct about them being antiblack. Most of these platforms are set against Black's in one way or another.
