This Respect for Marriage act is using black people indirectly to protect gay marriage. There are zero reasons to have interracial marriage on any bill these days. No one is tripping about it. It's put on there basically to say to white men, if you want to legally never have your ability marry an Asian (usually like Mitch McConnell, Jared Taylor, Richard Spencer but also Latina) then you have to allow two men from marrying.
Clarence Thomas is married to a white woman, Mitch McConnell to a Chinese-American. They are not going sign off on the possibility of their own marriages not legal at some point.
Most of the black interracial marriages are white women (roughly half a million). And white men for Black women (168,000).
One last related thing. The Virginia v Loving case in 1968 wasn't about a white man and a black woman. The woman was native American and one of those instances Tariq talks about of native Americans who can pass for black being re-classified as Black. Swirlers celebrate it as a sista and she wasn't. Secondly, the guy Loving was an adult who started messing with her when she was a minor, he was technically a pedophile. She was very young, I think 15, not sure about that age when he was smashing. He was an adult.
