I'm going to come right out and say it, I think emenim sucks. Period.
When it comes to Hip Hop I can't stand nothing more than to hear white or black say he's the "King of Hip Hop"
GTFO with that sh*t! He raps fast... So what.
Saying he's the king of rap is like saying Chuck Norris is the grand Master of all martial arts, that's ridiculous, because it is!
There are tons of rappers who could bury em without breaking a sweat, he's always been a hype job to me and only got noticed when a black man put him on (Dre).
I'll go to my grave saying he sucks, I don't relate to anything he spits and all of his music (what I could stand to listen to) sounds the same.
Yea I said it and I stand on it.

Em was a money grab, pure and simple.
MC Search, Pete Nice, Vanilla Ice and Snow came before Em and they were just testing to see if the idea of a white rapper can be realized.

Then Iggy came through the door:

That's simply not true, if you remove race out of it Eminem is one of the most skilled rappers in the game. When you start talking about who is iller than Eminem you immediately have to go to the GOATS like Nas, Andre 3000, etc.

His latest stuff sucks to me but I don't see how you can listen to Verse 3 on 3AM and not see that this man is talented.

I remember the first time I dismembered a family member
December, I think it was, I was having drinks with my cousin
I wrapped him in Christmas lights
Pushed him into the stinkin' tub, cut him up into pieces
And just when I went to drink his blood
I thought, "I oughta drink his bathwater, that oughta be fun"
That's when my days of serial murder manslaughter begun
The sight of blood excites me, that might be an artery, son
Your blood-curdling screams just don't seem to bother me none

Another thing I like about Eminem is that he is a real MC that just happens to be White. He's never tried to appropriate it or pretend to be a Hershey's Cookies N Creme version of an MC, he's just been him.

You can dislike Eminem 100% but to say he sucks is just not factual.

I hear what you are saying, I just don't like none of his music, he really lost me with making a song called "rap God".
He's like Conor McGregor, or Rhonda Rousey, straight hype jobs. It's my opinion.
I've never compared him to any of the True GOATS, white or black he's garbage to me.

Eminem is technically proficient at rapping.
He's a the Bob Cousy of rap: he has a very high skill level, but he lacks soul.

Yeah you don’t like him and it’s fine, that’s subjective. Objectively he’s a talented MC and can out rap most of the game.

EPMD 2 on KD 2 is leagues above most rappers in today’s era and the dude been in the game what 20 years?

Guwop is right. You don't see too many bruhs riding around bumping Em's music.

    Perfect assessment

Eminem thrived when he worked with Dr. Dre and The Bass Brothers, problem with that is he wasn't sober on those albums(the classic trio and Relapse). Outside of that he's a over technical preachy try hard that makes anything from corny stadium anthems to pop collaborations, and most of the music in between falls flat. I enjoyed his music from 1997 to 2003 or so but I think Proof's death took the fun out of him.

He started off making corny pop star disses so it fits that the tail end of his career has been corny as well.

I don't like most of Em's work (lyrically speaking) but the dude can rap. I feel like he is an example of a poet who just matched his words to music. Those tend to be the best rappers. You have to have the tongue for it as well though and the voice. I don't listen to any of his stuff, especially none of his newer work (to me it is subpar in comparison to his older stuff) but I can't hate on his talent overall.
