I ask this question because I wanted to know in what ways are they the same/different as the original party.

They're not the same as the original party they have evolved for better or worse depending on how you see them they are about self defense and upliftingbour people which is the one constant that they have maintained from the original Party. Respect✊🏿💯

The original party was 100% for us. The new one seems to be more for profit. That is at least what I have gathered in my own observations. I could be wrong. I don't follow the second wave panthers.

I don’t know, I’m torn. I’ve seen good things and bad things. I think they should have called themselves something different so they didn’t have to walk in the shadow of the Black Panthers. A

The survival programs of the original Black Panther Party lives on in various chapters of the Huey P. Newton gun clubs, Siafu Movement, NABPP-PC, NAIM and Malcolm X Grassroots Movement.

I don't see much on their current website however, doesn't look it's been updated since 2013

It could be controlled opposition. You just never know these days. Be careful and don't be so quick to buy into anything. BLM organisation turned into a dud. It's considered a borderline scam at this point.

I like how you think. We can't be assuming that people are automatically on our side because they say White Supremacy and throw in some shit about Egypt. Everyone needs to be vetted and continuously.

I agree 100%. EVERYONE should be vetted on a regular basis to prove their allegiance. The issue is almost everyone that looks like us that is in a position of power or influence, wasn't PUT THERE BY BLACK PEOPLE. They are controlled puppets that serve agendas that are detrimental to the black community.

Black people need to STOP emulating or looking up to rappers, athletes and thespians/comedians, talk show hosts etc. Not only are they controlled, they're not intellectuals at all. Cardi B shouldn't be sitting with Joe Biden talking about black issues, an educated, well researched pro-black scholar or political analyst should be.

Eminem doesn't speak for white people in political or social related matters, Seinfeld doesn't speak for the Jewish community nor does Ken Jeong speak for South Koreans about issues related to their community but yet we let our entertainers participate in political dialogue.

Doesn't matter what name they use, they're a BLACK organization! Guerrilla Mainframe in Dallas, TX is going through the same thing!
WS constantly harassing the founder, members & family!

It does matter because if you use the name of a previous Black organization you will be compared to them. It's like if I called myself "Young Malcolm X" I will then be compared to Malcolm X which will open myself to scrutiny that I wouldn't get if I just moved in my own image. When I hear NEW BPP I immediately compare them to the original which can be a gift and a curse. Some things they do remind of the original BPP from what I've read but some things they do seem like a shadow of the original. I wouldn't even compare them to the BPP if it wasn't in the name. That's my point.
