If we’re being intellectually honest and accurate, White culture would be any culture belonging to the ethnic groups of Europe. So with that definition we can take the question down to the next level:
- What is British culture?
- What is Italian culture?
- What is German culture?
- What is French culture?
You’ll see that each have unique languages, foods, customs, and etc. For instance, the British and the French have cultures of extravagance, pretentiousness, and excess that you wouldn’t really associate with a German or Russian.
Look how British people eat in formal settings. There’s a fork for every course, a spoon for every course, two different types of knives, rules for how you use your napkin and where you place it and rules for where you place your utensils and elbows. It’s extremely elaborate and you will be judged as lower class if you do not understand the rules. It’s so elaborate that they distinguish between which hand you use to cut your food. Let’s say you’re right-handed, at a steakhouse and want to take a bite:
If you transfer the fork to your left hand so that you can use your right hand to cut the meat with a knife, that’s called international or American style. What happens is after you cut, you place the knife down, transfer the fork back to the right hand and then pick up the meat with the fork tongues facing downward.
British style is to keep your fork in your right hand and to cut with the left so that you’re transferring utensils between hands.
It’s hard to see white culture because it’s beaten into you from the second you heard your mama screaming because the racist doctor didn’t give her enough anesthetic as she gave birth.
