City Council member #NuryMartinez is in the forefront as she seamlessly spewed anti black racism in a now infamous leaked audio of her having a racially charged conversation about REDISTRICTING #TheBlacks and “Judios” Spanish slang for Jews.

City councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson, a #BlackAmerican, who was one of Nury’s targeted colleagues. Does not accept the apology as a so-called response, he wants her and others involved removed.

This has rocked the City of LA and many #BlackAmericans would like to now put an end to the Black and Brown narrative that Black Elected like to use as a bridge to some sort of perceived coalition. What do you think Family?

They're talking about the 3 anti-Black racist councilmen, but what about Ron Herrera?

Why isn't Ron Herrera, President of Los Angeles County Federation of Labor (@lalabor) & Secretary-Treasurer for Teamsters Local 396 (@local_396), being pressured to resign? Why isn't Ron Herrera being investigated when Ron Herrera participated in the same racist meeting as he cosigned and agreed with fellow racists Kevin de León, Gil Cedillo, and Nury Martinez?

They won't do it but the CBC, any prominent black in LA and the state in politics and business needs to be telling Biden and Governor Newsom to make some phone calls and get them out the paint or they public with criticism and wave possibly funding at them if they don't.

The argument should be this isn't just a slip of the tongue that can be swept aside with a simple apology.

    1. The comments shows a complete disdain for black people.
    2. They have completed lost the public trust and can't govern fairly.

Therefore they need to quit or suffer all possible consequences. And I'd play the f*ck out of the race card:

If the comments were made about Jews and Gays, it wouldn't even be a question.
Blacks have NO ALLIES. The Black/Brown coalition never existed.
Reparations for FBAs now and Blacks DEMAND Latino support for it.

On a sidenote, start asking any Latino running for office if they support reparations for FBAs. Put them on the spot. The same thing we were asking Kamala, Cory Booker and Biden we MUST be asking of EVERY Latino running for office. That's the best way to kill off this black / brown coalition.

Some will try and flip da script and say 'What about Latino reparations?'
Answer: First, show me any movement? There is none. Second, FBAs have long demanded it and are due it. Make a claim however you want, but we want ours first and foremost before we talk about supporting any other'

Great post. I really think Black Americans need to drop the delusion and accept that no group is our friend. Everyone in this country has to signed a pact that they will perpetuate anti-Black racism in order to come over. So we need to take it at face value and act like our lives are on the line because they are.

Only the very elite ones think in terms of their skin tone.
They think more about status than skin complexion. I see dark Hispanic people racist as fuk. I see ones damn near white and speak out against racism.

It's the ones that have gotten a little success that are racist and talk shit. That's been my experience!

I hear you but it’s not true. Skin tone is everything which is why Sammy Sosa bleached his skin.

It’s why all the white people have the wealth and the Black people are poor. It’s why everyone on tv in their countries look like this:

Mexico and everything below it is hyper colorist and racist AF. Look at Brazil’s census…they track race.

The only people to be confused about White Latinos is Black people. White Latinos don’t even see Black Latinos as Latino.

These are the choices for 'Race' if you choose any form of Latino above (Mexican, Puerto Rican, etc). They choose white. They wanted that choice. You NEVER, EVER, hear Latinos say change the Census form.

Simply put, a white latino is a white person of latin origin.
Ted Cruz is a white latino.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is a white latino.
Fat Joe is a white latino.
Jennifer Lopez is a white latino.
George Zimmerman is a white latino.

"Latino" and "hispanic" indicate nationality/cultural origin, not race or ethnicity.
In terms of ethnic identiity, many latinos identify as white regardless of skin color and/or nationality.

I'm not saying that as a whole they don't think like that. I just don't see many individuals saying that.

But then they probably wouldn't say it around me just straight to my face!

Their culture is not like USA in that their racism isn’t spoken. The white leaders preeent the country as a multi racial utopia but in reality if you’re Black in any of those countries you’re at the bottom socially and economically. It’s worse than the USA because many Black people in these countries have fewer rights and haven’t risen up because they don’t see themselves as Black. They see themselves as Latino while the ruling class sees them as Black.

Since Latino isn't and never was a race and is nothing more than a ethnicity, why do Latinos (including white and white-identifying ones) continue to cry about how they are victims of "racism" if Latino is an ethnicity?

Because as soon as they became "minorities", "& brown", and "people of color", they were given entry into the racial oppression lottery. I worked in government for a long time, and believe me, there's a lot of money (and other benefits) to be made if you know how to work the work the "oppressed" and "minority" angles.
If I were a white latino, I'd say I was oppressed, too. It can be a sweet come up!

White females, white LGBTQ, the model minority (Asians), non-Black Arabs, white $5 Indians, and white Jewish also benefit from working the "oppressed" and "minority" angles.

I also recall a video of a Latino speaking to his Latino people and talking about how important it is to finesse the game by claiming "oppression" while not being Black and being seen as something better than Black.

Look at Ted Cruz. He's the whitest white man on the entire history of whiteness, but they trot him out every year for hispanic heritage month as one of the poster children for the oppression Olympics.
Even wealthy spicy whites capitalize on oppression.

I'm happy to know that Black people pushed for her resignation and dug deep into the leaked audio to find the Jewish comments.

I probably wasn't paying attention to it before but I noticed at work today almost every Latino there was what would be considered a white Latino.

I just sat and thought about it. I can't think of a single Latino that would be considered black that I worked with since I became a nurse. Even before that I can only remember about 2 or 3.

A few had a slightly darker complexion but none enough to be considered black.

Now I have seen and met black Latinos. Just very few if any at work.

    That can't be a coincidence!

I also recall a video of a Latino speaking to his Latino people and talking about how important it is to finesse the game by claiming "oppression" while not being Black and being seen as something better than Black.

I been saying for years that them Brown heifers weren't oppressed. In fact, they are THE preferred picks for DEI endeavors in corporate and nonprofit arenas. They are minorities when it suits them. When it's beneficial socially or financially.

On a one to one basis, many of us, myself included have had great friendships with Latinos. If you live in an area (California, NYC, Miami, the Southwest) with a lot of them, you will find some who are cool AF. However, as a collective its not so.

    1. Latinos originate from countries that have very bad colorism. There isn't a Latino country where the black latinos aren't seen as the lowest.
That mindset is brought to America.
    2. They know that the white power structure hates us more than they have them. So they know they can be a buffer class and get more from white folks than we are.
    3. They know the black masses are desperate for allies so they use that desperation to get benefits and privileges for themselves.
    4. They have the numbers. They now believe they have more power than blacks and we have to support them in everything they want or be shamed for it. But not the other way around. Whenever a Latino is mistreated, Black politicians and political groups like the CBC call it out immediately. The NAACP and black organizations call it out immediately. I defy you find one tweet or social media from any nationally recognized Latino/Hispanic organization that does that? The one or two that do, do it ONLY after being shamed into it. I had a discussion with a sister who was in to the black/brown coalition and she couldn't find one tweet that came within a few weeks of a black murder.

Finally, doesn't matter why they hate us or all that. I am not going to waste energy asking why. All I need to know it is and look for strategies and solutions to counter it. That's it. "how come they don't like us...blah..blah...blah'. Who gives a f*ck? Lets use these examples to work harder for ourselves.

I learned Individuals vs. Groups from Tariq and it helped me look at the world so much differently. I know cool white people but as a group they are not cool and that makes it easy to understand.

I was gonna say 'One last thing' but y'all know me too well to believe that. So, I'll say 'One more thing'.

Something no one is asking. These council members ONLY had smoke for Blacks. Whites in LA still control everything. They have all the power but notice the Latinos had no smoke for Whites. They don't have a problem with the White power structure. Blacks are only 9 percent of the population in LA. Yeah, its that small, but they have the most smoke for us.

Black single moms and kids are routinely firebombed out of their homes when they move into Latino neighborhoods. If they move into east LA, black women and their kids are forced out...brutally.

White gentrifiers have been moving into east LA, Boyle Heights (for those from LA they know this area) for several years now. Hipsters, others because its a very short drive to downtown LA and its one of the few affordable areas of LA.

You have NEVER, EVER seen a white person or white family forced out of east LA. Even if they live in Mexican gang territory. They know better. No one is talking about it. The cops know this, the politicians know this but they don't talk about it.

Maybe the LA based members can chime in and offer more insight but I think Jason Black is pretty much correct about black LA. It's done as a power. I think there is some hope but what makes hope a very small chance of happening is that the black community in LA isn't united enough if at all. Blacks in LA are publicly fought by Latinos and behind the scenes fought by Whites and I would be surprised if both groups don't low key get together on keeping us out. And the Asians and everyone else (Armenians, Jews, Persians, Russians, Filipinos) is cheering for the Blacks to lose.

    The Streets:

    The black street isn't unified

Mexican gangs all over LA are controlled from inside the prison by the Mexican Mafia. Yeah, they still kill each other, you can't stop generations old beefs, but they have strict rules and inside prisons they all gotta bow and come as one. No exceptions.

For the most part, very, very few exceptions (I think Gardena 13 has decent relations with black gangs in their area and a peace treaty between East Coast Crips and Florence 13, and I think Inglewood 13 and one of the Inglewood blood gangs have a truce now last I heard) the Mexican gangs bang on black gangs, Crips, Bloods, doesn't matter. The Black gangs bang on each other and Mexicans. Gentrification and Mexican/Latinos moving is making the Black population drop as well as destroying the projects where Blacks have been for 50 years. As long as the Black gangs beef with each other they will slowly lose power and territory. The Mexicans know this. They know its a matter of when not if, Black gangs are marginalized to the point of not existing. This has happened in a few areas already. Santa Monica once had a black gang. An east side gang Geer Gang Crips is pretty much gone. Shoreline Crips in Venice is pretty much gone.

Black gangs had a peace treaty once after LA riots in '92 and that has gone by the wayside, in part because the cops didn't want it to happen. But unless black gangs see the Mexicans as the bigger "enemy" they will all become marginalized to the point of almost powerless. It doesn't seem likely now but South Central, Watts, was once predominantly Black and now isn't.

Some of you non Los Angelenos might say and logically "Wouldn't you want Black gangs to end?" and the answer with LA is no. What I would want ended is the killing of each other. But I would like to see it similar to the Mexican gangs. The Black gangs of LA is the military wing of Blacks in LA. If the city starts tripping too much against Blacks and the injustice is too much, the Black gangs have always been the ones that will turn up as a last resort and end the bullsh*t ('92 riots, BLM/Floyd marches, etc). Proud Boys tried to protest at Maxine Waters office in south LA and got run the f*ck out by black gangs. You need that threat of violence if you don't do the right thing and the black gangs are that.

The black elite/rich has to unite:

There is actually a lot of well to do blacks in LA but they are all over the place, some of it entertainment related but everything else, engineers, lawyers, whatever. They unite at times on some boule` type sh*t but they are also often on that coalition bullsh*t as well.

All have to get on code, stop selling their homes to non blacks. Get on the same code as the Asians do. Is it likely to happen? No, not from what I can see. It will start happening when its already too late is my guess.
