Dude, when prospective and existing investors came to the lab to get tested for demo purposes, Elizabeth Holmes had the blood drawn using her equipment but then had them analyzed on Siemens machines because hers didn’t work. The issue they had is that the Siemens required regular quantities of blood, so they would dilute the sample with saline and then hack the Siemens machines to accept it. Some of the results were so bad that they would simply omit some of the tests off reports.Their machines worked for basic tests but not for most of what they advertised, their results were hugely inaccurate THEY STILL launched into Walgreens! They gave out thousands and thousands of bad tests that even resulted in death because doctors were pre scribing drugs based on bad data given to them from the theranos equipment. Which wasn’t actually being used since theranos was running diluted blood sample in hacked Siemens Adbias.
