Who Is Jason Black aka The Black Authority?

Born circa 1970 in Shreveport, LA the internet personality known as Jason Black is a man of mystery, wisdom, and entertainment. Due to his reclusive nature, not much is known about him but that hasn't stopped him from amassing a cauldron of devoted fans who view him as extended family.

What many don't know is that Jason's private persona is a deliberate choice made to ensure that personality and fame didn't taint his motivation and get in the way of the people and the message. As of today, Jason is the host of two separate programs that focus on helping Black people navigate through different aspects of American society. The Black Authority and The Business.

The Black Authority Podcast​

Hosted by Jason Black, The Black Authority is a twice weekly YouTube podcast that focuses on Black American political issues and topics. Since 2009 the program has been lauded for Jason Black's no nonsense approach to politics, anti-Black racism, and Black excellence. What separates The Black Authority from other podcasts in the New Black Media is the ability for viewers to call into the program to share their thoughts on the topics of the night.

The Black Ayatollah Period of The Black Authority Podcast​

Long-time listeners of The Black Authority can remember a time when Jason Black was short-tempered, mean-spirited, and often disrespectful to his callers. Answering too slow, disagreeing, or having an inability to speak clearly would result in the caller being cut-off, lambasted, and humiliated live on air.

Many listeners would tune in specifically for the “blood-bath” that would ensue during the call-in segment. Jason Black has personally coined this persona “The Black Ayatollah” which was discontinued on his YouTube Channel circa 2019.

The New Era of The Black Authority​

Since then Jason Black has adopted a more relaxed approach with his callers which he mentions frequently during is broadcasts. As a result, the program is now more accessible to both listeners and callers alike. The Business on Power Dynamics​

In 2018, YouTuber Jason Black aka The Black Authority ventured off and started "The Business" which he coins "The definitive school of power dynamics". In this program, Jason speaks on male/female dynamics in relationships, entrepreneurship, career excellence, and more.

Much like The Black Authority, Jason pulls no punches during this program and gives the hard hitting and uncompromising perspective viewers have come to expect. He also offers exclusive episodes for members of Patreon where he leaves no question unanswered.
