Tyler Perry is way more black oriented than Byron Allen who I thought would make a play for it. Glad he didn't.

I firmly believe white folks bought BET in order to make sure it didn't speak positively to the black community about anything we need.

That said, I want to see if Tyler Perry has anything like a BET News or something that addresses what is going on that affects us.

Tyler Perry isn't pro-black tho.

True, but he's more black oriented than most. He makes black shows, hires a lot of black people. Has a studio in Georgia with a lot of black interns, etc.

We are not going to see staunchly pro black activist buying BET. I can't think of one black person with 500 million or more who is.

Perry is the best we gonna do till then. And I don't think he'll be doing much activism. He's a comedy guy mainly and some drama.

I also am hearing most of the money buying it is white but haven't confirmed.
