Can we as a community agree to post positive stuff in addition to the negative? I log on in the morning and it's "so and so is shot", "this white supremacist did this", and it drains me. Is the Black community just about misery and depression? Are we not about anything other than what White people do to us or what we feel about White people?

Do we not like music, tv, food, nature, etc? Can we all work together to make this a more well-rounded environment? If not I'll unfortunately have to leave for my sanity. If I start posting about TV or Music or Gardening can you all agree to support the posts? I wholeheartedly agree. I'm mostly in the video game and gardening/self-sufficiency threads, but I do post in some others from time to time.

Ummm yeah that's what the Cookout/Flix and Chill/Blerd Life/ThunderDome/Waveform and various other threads are for if you're only looking at the Times that's where the news is if you post it I'm bound to participate in your post but I'll continue to post as I see fit because white supremacy doesn't take any days off. No worries though I feel we all still find time to enjoy life just remember this is an actual war for survival and we don't really have the luxury to ignore what's going on around us. I stick to video games. The problem is the trending and latest tabs are the first things that pop up and I'm not sure what the capabilities are but it would be nice to have the ability to "Mute" certain threads. Where you can select or deselect which of the threads pops up in that list. But I would totally support you Red. You know I got your back.

Yes I need to make tutorials on the filter functionality so people can filter out the Communities they don't want to see.

For some reason my original post was deleted but I wasn’t attacking you and I used the word balance for a reason. We should have both not either/or.

You're absolutely right! I'm instantly triggered by ALL the negative & deadly situations our people have gone through & are going through!

I didn't take it as an attack I just adjust my filter as needed there's many different groups on this platform and many interesting threads I been out here in the world long enough to know that the system is waging war on our people and we honestly don't have the luxury of not paying attention at all times because if we don't we could fall victim to some random white guy or woman sneaking up on us and ending our existence we're the only people that don't seem to get that they are trying to end us by any means and to me ignoring that just doesn't work for me. Doesn't mean I don't get what you're saying and sometimes I take a break and enjoy the day or week or even month to get my mental together but we're always on their minds so I keep them on mine that's the balance because they have plans for us even if we don't have a plan for them unfortunately that's the cost of living in a warzone behind enemy lines. One can be ready for the inevitable smoke and also refuse to douse themselves in never ending trauma porn. While it is important that we understand the world around us at a certain point we have to act.

If we’re not actually having conversations about how to prepare ourselves then it’s not beneficial. But you are one of the first ones I seen post about what we are doing in our personal lives to help our mission so much props from me.

Agreed! It's important to stay informed and aware of what's going on in the world, but balance is key. We can still enjoy our interests, hobbies, and everyday life while fighting against injustices and systemic racism. All of us joined this site primarily to discuss fighting white supremacy.
However just like anything else if it's seemingly 24/7 it becomes overwhelming. Hence, other threads and frankly other sites for your mindless fun. But this is an anti white supremacy site primarily. It comes with the territory it will seem too much.

Furthermore, what is too much varies on when you be join, your life experiences, background
and how much you participate.

Everyone gotta find their balance based on their need. It will be different for each of us.

Absolutely agree! It's important to find a balance that works for each individual. While this site is primarily for discussing and fighting against white supremacy, it's also important to take a break and enjoy other aspects of life as well. Each person's capacity and needs are different, so it's important to respect that and support each other in finding the balance that works for them.

I'm out. I signed up because I expected meaningful dialogue about the socio-political issues we're constantly faced with so that we can keep apprised and move accordingly. If I wanted lighthearted distractions I can do that elsewhere. I'm disappointed but I'll be able to utilise my time on other things.

I click on the good and bad because I refuse to only see one side. I want to know all the news so I can make informed decisions. I know there is a lot our folks are doing well. I want to see that information as well so I can support our folks as much as I can.

The only thing I ever see is our people getting arrested & or killed. I've seen this first hand since age 5! Mainstream media isn't going to show us THRIVING, just barely SURVIVING!
I used to look to entertainment, but that even has a downside. Our movie icons & musicians are also being ridiculed & murdered! So where do we look for positive & uplifting news about our people? 🤔

So one person posts about balance and you’re signing off permanently? Everything we have to do get our freedom is much harder than posting on here. If you leave Black people that quickly you definitely won’t be around when it gets real hard like if the folks are after or if a shot rings off or if someone needs to get into the yard and pull weeds.

I get his point but also when you log on you have the choice to get Involved with or participate in any post you choose I don't think we should be telling people what to post or when to post it. Post how you feel whenever and whatever. If people choose to take a step back then so be it that's also their choice.

I think it's more telling when a newcomer becomes the thought police and when that failed another newcomer, female, whined about combating WS as a depressing daily feature and everyone immediately acquiesced not to. I could not careless what y'all think of my decision because y'all appear fickle.

Being female really has nothing to do with it, so why bring it up? Says more about you than the OP, tbh. No one "immediately acquiesced" to do anything. It's not good for your mental to be in fight mode every second, minute, hour, or day. Also, if you didn't care what we thought of your decision, why come back and post/reply at all? Take some of your own advice and stop whining.
