Can we as a community agree to post positive stuff in addition to the negative? I log on in the morning and it's "so and so is shot", "this white supremacist did this", and it drains me. Is the Black community just about misery and depression? Are we not about anything other than what White people do to us or what we feel about White people?

Do we not like music, tv, food, nature, etc? Can we all work together to make this a more well-rounded environment? If not I'll unfortunately have to leave for my sanity. If I start posting about TV or Music or Gardening can you all agree to support the posts? I stick to video games. The problem is the trending and latest tabs are the first things that pop up and I'm not sure what the capabilities are but it would be nice to have the ability to "Mute" certain threads. Where you can select or deselect which of the threads pops up in that list. But I would totally support you Red. You know I got your back.

You're absolutely right! I'm instantly triggered by ALL the negative & deadly situations our people have gone through & are going through!

I didn't take it as an attack I just adjust my filter as needed there's many different groups on this platform and many interesting threads I been out here in the world long enough to know that the system is waging war on our people and we honestly don't have the luxury of not paying attention at all times because if we don't we could fall victim to some random white guy or woman sneaking up on us and ending our existence we're the only people that don't seem to get that they are trying to end us by any means and to me ignoring that just doesn't work for me. Doesn't mean I don't get what you're saying and sometimes I take a break and enjoy the day or week or even month to get my mental together but we're always on their minds so I keep them on mine that's the balance because they have plans for us even if we don't have a plan for them unfortunately that's the cost of living in a warzone behind enemy lines. One can be ready for the inevitable smoke and also refuse to douse themselves in never ending trauma porn. While it is important that we understand the world around us at a certain point we have to act.

If we’re not actually having conversations about how to prepare ourselves then it’s not beneficial. But you are one of the first ones I seen post about what we are doing in our personal lives to help our mission so much props from me.

Agreed! It's important to stay informed and aware of what's going on in the world, but balance is key. We can still enjoy our interests, hobbies, and everyday life while fighting against injustices and systemic racism. However just like anything else if it's seemingly 24/7 it becomes overwhelming. Hence, other threads and frankly other sites for your mindless fun. But this is an anti white supremacy site primarily. It comes with the territory it will seem too much.

Absolutely agree! It's important to find a balance that works for each individual. While this site is primarily for discussing and fighting against white supremacy, it's also important to take a break and enjoy other aspects of life as well. Each person's capacity and needs are different, so it's important to respect that and support each other in finding the balance that works for them.

I click on the good and bad because I refuse to only see one side. I want to know all the news so I can make informed decisions. I know there is a lot our folks are doing well. I want to see that information as well so I can support our folks as much as I can.

I used to look to entertainment, but that even has a downside. Our movie icons & musicians are also being ridiculed & murdered! So where do we look for positive & uplifting news about our people? 🤔

I get his point but also when you log on you have the choice to get Involved with or participate in any post you choose I don't think we should be telling people what to post or when to post it. Post how you feel whenever and whatever. If people choose to take a step back then so be it that's also their choice.

It's not good for your mental to be in fight mode every second, minute, hour, or day. Also, if you didn't care what we thought of your decision, why come back and post/reply at all?
