Similar to the other posters on this thread, I had white friends when at uni. We often socialised, and sometimes this lead to trouble. Looking back with hindsight, this was a very dangerous risk.
No, I havent taken her to get a physical. Now that you mention it, when I next start getting serious, that will be one of the things that I'll do. Good looking out
Its like that scene in the movie "They Live" when the guy puts on those glasses for the first time and sees the world for what it really is. Once that happens, there is no turning back. Better to have a hardened heart than to have no heart like RWS.
He stacked his paper to be in service of other groups?! He does not want to be in charge of a channel that caters to his people 🙄. (The questions were rhetorical and sarcastic. Apologies for that but that type of mentality displayed is frustrating).
This post is deep. White supremacy is having a constant effect. I'm not as empathetic as I once was. Not as outgoing as I used to be either. It can be so easy to end up in a sticky situation, so Im finding I have to turn down invites to social events etc.
When I was younger, I focused heavily on looks, health was not a consideration. Now, when I see that she is healthy on the inside, that will show on the outside (healthy mind, good disposition etc)
My opinion is similar to yours. No hate if you're overweight, but when you're trying people some BS about being healthy at any weight, a line has been crossed.
